Building large sailing yachts as well as largemotor yachts requires many qualities: rigueur, organization, pragmatism and coordinationbetween the design office and the craftsmen in the workshops. All of this is accompaniedby great passion, without which JFA would never have arrived at such a level.
This passion is even more essential whenwe build very different yachts in the same time. As we are for now with the 82’ sailingyacht and the 138’ motor yacht, both for very demanding owners. It is also importantto remember that it isn’t enough to sell, the boats must be built! Respecting the quality, planning and delivery deadlines. For this we need an extraordinary man! He not onlyneeds to orchestrate the work but also needs to be an artist capable of appreciating quality, capable to take intercede with each of the many craftsmen and show them the taste for the small “nothings” that make all the difference between a boat and a yacht. This man exists; he has worked next to me for seventeen years. A cabinet maker by trade, passionate for motor sports and particularly motorcycles, he has accumulated, over the years, an exceptional experience in yacht construction. His primary quality? Kindness or practical sense?
Both! His knowledge of the field, of each of the crafts needed for our mission, insures that he never lacks good judgment. Judgment that enables JFA to build yachts with “no problem”, to not give up when presented “too optimistic” ideas by young engineers. In short, the intelligence of this self-taught man has allowed JFA to rise to a very high level in our business. I am speaking about Frédéric Breuilly aka «Fredo», my associate since the beginning of our adventure as yacht builders.
The realization of these “monuments” of modern times would be impossible without his presence and his knowledge. I am certain that our shared passion for what is beautiful, the indispensable quality as well as our love for our craft will undoubtedly permit us to build even more beautiful yachts. For what we hope will be your greatest satisfaction.
