JFA Yachts has launched the first Long Island 78 ’Power.
An aluminium hull, combined with a composite superstructure and wheelhouse, make this unit a comfortable and efficient catamaran destined for long voyages.
The interior is particularly voluminous and connects to the exterior with a 360 ° panoramic view. The main deck offers several living spaces:
– On the port side are the galley and the salon which offers direct access to the foredeck.
– To starboard are the dining room and the navigation station.
This Long Island 78’ Power features an Owners’ suite and four guest cabins located in the hulls.
The exterior layout is innovative for this size and type of vessel:
The wheelhouse, on the flybridge, is an enclosed space intended for navigation, but also for relaxation with a banquette and desk. Aft of the wheelhouse is a sky-lounge – a dining area and kitchenette complete this sociable space.
Forward of the nacelle, on the main deck, a lounge and a seawater pool create another area dedicated to the open air.
Powered by two 500hp Cummins main engines, the cruising speed is set at 12 knots with a maximum speed of 15 knots (half load). Thanks to weight optimization, the Long Island 78 ’Power will offer reasonable fuel consumption, good handling at sea and a transatlantic range.
Developed in collaboration with the Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group – naval architecture, and Darnet Design – interiors, this power catamaran, signed by JFA Yachts, expands the range of semi-custom Long Island catamarans.
