Atao – 82′ JFA Classic
Atao, a classical, elegant style
The overall impression given by this JFA Classic 82, of the deck and, above all, the hull lines, speak of a very classic style. This project was developed in collaboration with Barracuda Yachts Design, who were the naval architects; and Dick Young Design, who was responsible for the interior. The exterior woodwork is in teak while the dog house and the skylights are fashioned from varnished mahogany. The deck of this classic sailing yacht fitted with flush deck panels and prisms for light, ensure spacious, flat surfaces for sun bathing. The mast and the canoe boom are carbon. Under the waterline, the depth is reduced thanks to adopting a short keel, equipped with a dagger board for improved upwind performance. The style down below is 1920’s. The furniture is made from French cherry wood, the wall panels are a lacquered creamy-white, while the floorboards are of oiled teak.
