JFA Yachts starts the building of a 70’ Fast Cruiser by Finot Conq
Signed in the beginning of the year, JFA Yachts has started the building of a 70’ Fast Cruiser named FC² 70’ (FC² for Finot Conq x Fast Cruiser).
The aluminium hull will receive a cockpit built in glass/epoxy following the infusion method. Hull and cockpit will be gathered by gluing and screwing. This technique has been used by JFA for many years.
Signed by Finot Conq, the sailing yacht is resolutely performance orientated thanks to a wide hull, a large sailing plan and a tight weight prediction.
Rig is fully carbon including the standing rigging. Furlers will be mounted under deck and the hydraulic winch will come from the racing range.
Draft of 4.4m is also a performance guarantee. However, the use of a revolving quill will permit to reduce the draft to 2m and will permit access to many harbours and mooring places.
Interiors will be made of light materials with Zebrano Veneer.
The cockpit door gives access to a wide saloon with galley on starboard. Forward hull will offer a full beam owner cabin. Aft will receive 2 guest cabins. A crew cabin will be installed at the bow.
A tender up to 3.4m will be stored in a transom garage.
The boat will be equipped with a 180Hp engine and 2 thrusters, one at the bow, and a stern. This double rudder installation will facilitate harbour manoeuvres.
Launching is foreseen beginning 2018.
